There are many people out there dedicating their lives and time to helping those in need. People who are doing what they feel they need to do to help combat the abuses that are going on all around us, weather emotional, physical, sexual, or all.

This is my way of saying thank you for being the people that you are and for all the hard work you are doing. The world needs all of you, you are making an impact on many lives whether you are aware or not.

My Dear friend Susan Murphy Milano who unfortunately lost her battle to cancer October 28, 2012. Susan dedicated her entire life all the way to the end helping and saving lives of those being abused by the ones who were suppose to love and protect them.  Gone to soon but her work still lives on.

sandra brown

My life changed after I discovered Sandra L Brown. Knowledge is key in recovering from the effects of someone with a personality disorder. Until you have personally been effected by a Narcissist, Sociopaths or Psychopath you have no clue or understanding of what someone goes through. If I hadn’t found Sandra’s site I would not have started this site nor would I have recovered  from the trauma I endured as quickly has I did. The information I learned from her magazine Safe Relationships Magazine was all I needed to understand myself and certain people in my life.

Sandra Brown author of Women Who Love Psychopaths:  Inside the Relationships of Inevitable Harm with Psychopaths,Sociopaths and Narcissists, as well as How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved, and Counseling Victims of Violence:  A Handbook for Helping Professionals

Sandra is recognized for her pioneering work on women’s issues related to relational harm with Cluster B/Axis II – Sociopathy/Psychopathy disordered partners.  She specializes in training professionals from various professions about pathological love relationships based on her books/products, and helps women’s organizations modify their survivor support services to include recognizing pathological love relationships.  Under her direction, The Institute has developed the Advanced Community Education Program for professionals in pathological love relationships, utilizing The Institute’s Model of Care Approach with our team of affiliated licensed mental health professionals.
